From dusky beauty Cleopatra to Maharani Gayatri Devi of Cooch Behar, every generation redefines the meaning of what does real beauty mean, but the gen X has taken it to a whole new level. Our thoughts ask others to throw out the traditional notions of beauty and start over from the scratch, redefining beauty for yourself and for the many generations to come.

Beauty is not measured by the compliments you get from men or how fair your skin color is. You are beautiful when you sleep in the night without your make up on, when you play cricket with the street kids and even when you are really tired after a bad day at work.

You look beautiful when you cry after watching a romantic flick or make silly expression while watching an action movie or when you hug your parents while going to your husband's place.

Beauty is the innocence of an infant when you kiss his cheek,
Beauty is the shades of the sky in the hours of dusk and dawn,
Beauty is the color of green after the rain from the sky,

Beauty is the capability to let go of your ego and pour the best of who you are into someone else,
Beauty is to forgive and forget and start a new life all over again,
Beauty is the glitter of your eyes when someone appreciates your rejected painting,

Beauty is when you move fingers in your hair because you are tensed,
Beauty is in the eye of a hungry boy, who has seen food after two days,
Beauty is the wrinkles on a single mother's hands after all the love and care she has poured to her family.

Real beauty is when you keep everyone on the same level and spread unconditional love to the ones who need it most without evaluating the pros and cons but rather carelessly loving because that's what makes you feel blessed. Beauty is when you look the way you want to be not what others want you to be.

Since childhood I used to think how people will look like if our physical façade replicates the true state of our thoughts. It would be dreadful and might transform our thoughts and everything about the way we live. The whole idea of beauty would be changed and what a disclosure it would be and that is what real beauty means to me!
