Dream Interpretations # 1

"There is a psychological technique which makes it possible to interpret dreams, and if that procedure is employed, every dream reveals itself as a psychical structure which has a meaning and which can be inserted at an assignable point in the mental activities of waking life"

- quoted Sigmund Freud once.

Dreams have been a mystery to us since Adam first breathed life but dreams have always fascinated mankind. We can learn much from our dreams, if we only but listen with a trained ear.

Some of the common dreams with interpretations:

  • Dream about Automobiles or vehicles :
Vehicles that we ride in usually reflect two things; the direction we are heading in life, and our body. The condition of the vehicle might give you an idea of your health. Driving an old beat up car down a muddy road on a stormy night would be considered a pretty bad dream! However flying a jet through a beautiful n clean blue sky would be a rather good dream.

  • Children

A dream about a child represents something new, different and joyous. A child represents a new phase in life or a new project. How well the child gets along and fares in the dream is an indication as to how well what it represents is doing.
  • Clothing

A dream about clothing best symbolizes our mood or state of mind. They also signify attitude. Attitudes and moods are similar to clothing in this regard, they are the camouflage we hide behind, our face we put on for the world in various situations so we can better cope. Take a look at what you, or other people in your dream are wearing to get even more clues to the dream's meaning. If the clothes are in bad condition, it means that a negative trait of your personality is affecting your social circle.

  • People
People most often portrayed in dreams are actually reflections of your own personality traits. These traits are ones that you need to enhance or develop, or if negative, work on eliminating or reducing. Then look for those traits in yourself. You may be very surprised to find a match up! People in dreams work most commonly to reflect, or mirror important aspects of your personality.

I REsign!!!

June 29, 2009

I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult.
I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities
of an 8-year-old again.

I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star restaurant.
I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and
make ripples with rocks.

I want to think M&Ms are better than money because
you can eat them.
I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade
stand with my friends on a hot summer day.

I want to return to a time when life was simple.
When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables,
and nursery rhymes,
but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what
you didn't know and you didn't care.

All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should
make you worried or upset.
I want to think the world is fair.
That everyone is honest and good.
I want to believe that anything is possible.
I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and
be overly excited by the little things again.
I want to live simple again.

I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news,
how to survive more days in the month than there is
money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip,
illness, and loss of loved ones.
I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind
word, truth, justice, peace, dreams,
the imagination, mankind, and making angels
in the snow.

So...here's my checkbook and my car keys, my credit
cards and all my responsibility.
I am officially resigning from adulthood.
And if you want to discuss this further, you'll have to
catch me first, 'cause,
"Tag! You're it."

The Will To Win...

June 28, 2009

If you want a thing bad enough
To go out and fight for it,
Work day and night for it,
Give up your time and your peace and your sleep for it

If only desire of it
Makes you quite mad enough
Never to tire of it,
Makes you hold all other things tawdry
and cheap for it

If life seems all empty and useless without it
And all that you scheme and you dream is about it,
If gladly you'll sweat for it,
Fret for it, Plan for it
Lose all your terror of God or man for it

If you'll simply go after that thing that you want
With all your capacity,
Strength and sagacity,
Faith, hope and confidence, stern pertinacity
If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt,
Nor sickness nor pain
Of body or brain
Can turn you away from the thing that you want

If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it,
You'll get it!

Say YES to "NO"

Just few months in office and my colleagues worshiped me as "NO QUEEN" :D. I wonder how so many people have difficulty in saying "NO".

Here, I do not have any control over saying "NO." At first saying no was limited only to my colleagues but gradually the "No" infestation grew to such an extent that even my Boss(es) started to think twice before asking me to do a certain thing.

Just yesterday my senior came to office at 10:30hrs and contrary to my usual schedule I reached at 10:00hrs and was working from then itself when I decided to take a break, the feeling of which was induced due to an inte(rest)ing conversation going on behind between the two of my colleagues.

As I stood up and turned around I saw my senior coming towards us, he stared at us for two seconds and asked, "What are you people doing? Chatting in the morning? Nobody answered!

Then he turned towards me- Don't you have any work? and I said "NO" sir and the rest of the words did not come out of my throat because of the sudden freezing of vocal cords. And, after that I became the "NO Queen". Last heard my management is thinking of having me in the negotiation team for takeover details.

I Kept ...

I keep six honest serving-men
  (They taught me all I knew);
Their names are What and Why and When
And How and Where and Who.
I send them over land and sea,
  I send them east and west;
But after they have worked for me,
I give them all a rest.

I let them rest from nine till five,
  For I am busy then,
As well as breakfast, lunch, and tea,
  For they are hungry men.
But different folk have different views.
  I know a person small-
She keeps ten million serving-men,
Who get no rest at all!

She sends'em abroad on her own affairs,
From the second she opens her eyes-
One million Hows, two million Wheres,
  And seven million Whys!

No Nadal, No Fun!!!

Today when Nadal announced his absence from Wimbledon 2009, the only question that came to my mind was can Wimbledon cope without Nadal? That's a million dollar question this year!!! I mean, one can easily imagine the the moment when Fed Ex shows up at Wimbledon without Rafa.

When Rafa stated "I have played with some problems in my knees for a few month but I always felt I'd try and try. You don't know what your limit is... but I have now reached the limit. I was making an effort to play week after week, but I have Oedema- one in each knee and now I am going to be out and I don't know for how long!!!"

One could easily see the pain and his helplessness!!! This year, that promised a lot for Rafa when he defeated Fed to win Australian Open in January has lost all the hopes to wounded knees. Today, at a conference, Rafa told tennis world the news that is hard to bear. Wimbledon without number one is like, the sky left only with stars and no moon!!!

Now it does not matter who will win Wimbledon this year. It's like, without Nadal, the wind escaped completely from Wimbledon balloon!!!

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening...

June 27, 2009

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

A Talk About "CoffeE"

It is just fantabulous walking into a coffee shop and experience the delicious aroma of coffee. Lost in the fragrance of beans, I began this article in a coffee shop while waiting for a friend who is late today as well, like always... I ordered my cuppa of coffee and while sitting on a sofa, decided to read the posters with yummy images and loads of information on this mind blowing drink.

An interesting one had a really charming quotation: "Smile with the heart and get your coffee free..." I broadened my smile, You know, so that I might get at least one cuppa free. As I turned my face towards a wall that was full of coffee facts, I realized there is so much about the drink that I don't know and I am sure half of the coffee lovers do not know either.

Discovered in the highlands of Ethiopia coffee is the most astonishing wine of the beans. Just one sip not only refreshes nerves but also excites those hidden happy hormones. The beverage as brown and deep as eyes is also useful against numerous illness, particularly those of stomach. Many studies have examined the relationship between coffee consumption and certain medical conditions, whether the overall effect of coffee is positive or negative is still disputed.

Though, even after that broadened smile I did not get my coffee for free but I certainly looked at it in a different way. Before, it was my favorite drink of rich taste and aroma, but now, a single cuppa of coffee means - A drink that delivers a whole range of emotional benefits that go beyond taste- from stimulation to relaxation to refreshment, and beyond!!!
